Where the name comes from
In Albanian, a mik is not simply a guest. It is the person you take in, feed, and look after — someone owed hospitality as a matter of honour, not of price. The old code of besa treats a guest under your roof as sacred; the obligation runs to the host, and it is not negotiable.
Shtëpia e shqiptarit është e Zotit dhe e mikut. — The Albanian's house belongs to God and to the guest.
That is a high standard for a booking tool to borrow. But it names the thing good hosts already do and most software forgets: the guest is not a transaction to be processed, they are someone you have taken responsibility for.
What we build
MIKstay is built for the Balkans and the Adriatic first — the markets big platforms treat as an afterthought, where a host might take bookings in four languages and get paid in three currencies.
We take no commission on your direct bookings. You pay for the software, not for each guest, because a tool that charges per booking is a tool that quietly wants you dependent on it.

Keep clear space around the logo of at least the height of one arch, and don't recolour, stretch, rotate or add effects to it. The lockups are PNG because the wordmark is set in Plus Jakarta Sans — an SVG would render in whatever font you happen to have. The mark is SVG, so scale it as far as you like.
